Horses for Ivy Hill

The Silver Reins and Golden Saddles Program focuses on physical, social and cognitive therapy for seniors, age 50 and up. Horses are also brought to visit the residents of nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. Ivy Hill volunteers would like to give each senior a remembrance of their visit. We think that the Waldorf ponies will be especially endearing and most appreciated.  However they need our assistance. The Ivy Hill volunteers can sew and stuff the ponies, but few of them are knitters.

I have formatted the two Waldorf-type horse patterns found online. They can be downloaded and printed by clicking here: 1 pc Horse Pattern.pdf and 2 pc horse pattern.pdf

I will collect knitted horse pieces at meetings.  If you cannot bring them to KnitKnights, they may be sent to Ivy Hill, ATT: Grace Emmell-Leister, 1811 Mill Rd, Perkasie, PA 18944.

Thank you for your generosity. I will keep you posted. Enjoy the pictures!
